Alyeska Resort, featuring The Hotel Alyeska, provides guests with elegant accommodations and a truly Alaskan experience. LOCATION: Alyeska Resort is nestled away in a glacier valey only 40 miles south of Anchorage, Alaska's largest city. The scenic drive along the Turnagain Arm ofers a myriad of opportunities to view wildlife including sheep, eagles, and even Beluga whales. Just two miles from the Girdwood townsite is The Hotel Alyeska and Alyeska Resort, surounded by majestic mountains, hanging glaciers, sparkling streams and towering spruce. All of Alaska is at Alyeska's front door.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
The chateau-style Hotel Alyeska includes 304 spacious guest rooms, including a 2,300-square foot Royal Suite and three town-house suites. Each standard guest room consists of either two double beds or one king bed and is furnished with a color television, refrigerator, in-room safe, heated towel rack, hairdryer, make-up miror, bathrobes and slippers, voice-mail messaging, bathroom telephones, and bedside "Do Not Disturb" controls. DINING: The Hotel Alyeska and Alyeska Resort features a variety of restaurants for the asorted tastes of its guests. The Pond Café is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A Japanese steakhouse, teppanyaki restaurant, ofers the freshest ingredients in a pleasing and entertaining dining environment. The adjacent Aurora Bar and Lounge provides two choices: a big screen sports bar or a quiet piano lounge. Located in the Glacier Terminal at the 2,300 foot level of Mt. Alyeska and accesible by the Resort's 60-pasenger aerial tram, are two additional restaurants one lounge: Seven Glaciers Restaurant highlights dramatic tableside views of Turnagain Arm and the Glacier Valey and serves a fine selection of appetizers, salads, and entrees. The Glacier Express is ideal for quick lunch or snack with a choice of soups, sandwiches, salads, and hot and cold entrees.

MEETING SPACE:
The Hotel Alyeska has more than 15,000 square feet of meeting space and will easily accommodate groups of 20 to 400. The Portage Board Room and Salon with private entry and reception area, accommodates 40 for receptions and 16 for meetings. RECREATION: Whether visiting in the summer or winter, guests of The Hotel Alyeska and Alyeska Resort wil find an array of activities awaiting them. In the summer, guests can pan for gold at nearby Crow Creek Mine, hike, bike, horseback ride, fish, canoe, kayak, river raft, mountain climb, wind surf, whale watch, flightsee, pick berries, or travel to Anchorage and play golf as late as 10 p.m. Winter at Alyeska is just as varied and exciting. Alpine and Nordic skiing are very popular in the valley, as wel as snowboarding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating, dog sledding, viewing the Northern Lights, hiking glaciers or paragliding. The Resort features varied terrain for all skiing levels. Six modern lifts and a 60-pasenger aerial tram make for quick acces to the slopes with litle or no lift lines. The Mountain Learning Center provides learn-to-ski and learn-to-ski better packages for children and adults. Certified instructors are available for group private lessons as well as guided sking.
